The medallion is a flat disc worked entirely in raised dots and bars, a ring of tightly packed beads around the outer rim, a radiating field of short bars inside that, and a cluster of beads at the center forming a sunburst. The disc hangs from two jump rings at the sides rather than one at the top, so it sits flat across the collarbone instead of swinging. The chain closes with a lobster clasp and an extender chain.

The dot work is the whole signature. Every bead on the face is raised from the surface as a separate element, which means the disc reads as texture and shadow rather than as a stamped pattern, and the gold vermeil lifts those raised points while the recesses stay darker. Anna Beck was founded in 2003 by Becky Hosmer after a trip to Bali, and the name is simply her own rearranged, Becky Ann. The company grew out of a friendship with a Balinese jewelry maker named Gede who worked from a small room behind his house and later became her business partner, and the pieces are still handmade in Bali by artisans using techniques passed down through generations.
