RETIRED James Avery 925 Sterling Silver Cupid Double Open Hearts Charm Pendant
Retired James Avery sterling silver charm in the Cupid Double Open Hearts design, two open hearts interlocked at the shoulder and set at an angle to each other, with a jump ring cast into the top. The hearts are drawn as flat open outlines rather than solid forms, so the design reads as line work, and they cross over and under at both meeting points the way two rings would if they were actually linked. It is stamped on the reverse with the James Avery candelabra and 925.
Polished sterling throughout, so the open outlines throw light from every curve and the charm reads bright against a bracelet rather than disappearing into it. The two hearts sit at slightly different angles rather than mirroring each other, which gives the charm motion as it swings and keeps it from reading as a flat symmetrical cutout. The Cupid Double Open Hearts design is retired and no longer in production. Scale is shown in the photos alongside a quarter.
The cast jump ring hangs this on a James Avery charm bracelet, and it works equally as a pendant on a chain. Comes with the James Avery box and pouch.

Fun Facts:
The twin heart has been a betrothal motif in Western jewelry for centuries, most famously in the Scottish luckenbooth brooch of the 1600s and 1700s, two entwined hearts sold from the locked booths near St Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh and given as a token of engagement.
James Avery still manufactures in Texas, with workshops in Kerrville, Comfort, and Hondo, which is rare for an American jewelry company operating at its scale.
