RETIRED James Avery Sterling Silver Open Heart Cutout Wide Band Ring Size 5.5

This James Avery sterling silver ring is a wide band with a heart pierced straight through the face, so the design is made entirely of negative space. The heart is cut clean through the metal with softly rounded interior edges, and the surrounding band is left completely plain and high polished, which means the shape reads instantly from any distance without a single added element. The band is broad and slightly domed across the top, tapering as it comes around the finger, and the silver is thick enough that the cutout has real depth to it, catching a shadow line around the inside of the heart as it moves.

This is Avery design at its purest: one idea, executed cleanly, nothing else added. The heavy gauge gives it the substantial feel that keeps these in circulation long after they leave the line, and because there is no stone and no surface ornament, it wears with anything and stacks well against plain bands.
